Born and schooling in St Xavier's School, New Delhi. with one year stint at RIMC (Rashtriya Indian Military College), Dehradun. Graduation and postgraduation in general surgery from AIIMS , New Delhi. Worked on lymphoedema during thesis as part of postgraduation. Currently in practise but continuing work on this disease privately. Have developed the VIPEL machine after over six years of co-operative effort with engineers and later succeeded with help From DEBEL.(Defense Electromedical and Bio- Engineering Labarotory).

Currently this machine has been successfully incorporated as part of the National Filaria Control Programme. Trial therapy units have been started by the state of Tamilnadu. Currently five districts namely Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, North Arcot, Thiruvannamalai and Nagapattinam are a part of the study along with a research centre at Chengalpattu in South Arcot District. And more have added to the list. Personally travelled to these locations to take demonstrations and for training of doctors and para medical staff.

Simultaneously making software for maintaining Hospitals, Doctor's Clinics and Nursing Homes called Medicaid .

Surgical Interest in Hand Surgery - have undergone a two week intensive training Course in Stanley Hospital in Chennai.

EXPERIENCE IN INFORMATICS AND TELEMEDICINE:

  1. Have made an application - Medic Aid for keeping Hospital and patient records through over 8 years of still continuing effort. Main USP is that it is entirely user made so debugging and further development go hand in hand. Understanding of Medical Needs and Knowledge of Software Programming has made this into a total solution
  2. Main thrust of programming is on SQL and Powerbuiilder though have tinkered a little with all including Java script, C++, VB and more.
  3. Started working with Telemedicine as an extension to above. Installing telemedicine systems at various places as well as developing software and training doctors and staff
    1. Helped in Installing Telemedicine systems at AIIMS – (linking AIIMS to its Rural health center in Ballabgarh as well as other hospitals like SGPGI Lucknow and PGI Chandigarh
    2. Involved in conceptualizing and implementing Ayushman Telemedicine Project - linking Ayushman Hospital Bhopal with A smaller center Itarsi as well as tertiary care centers like Escorts Hospital Delhi, Rabindranath Tagore Hospital Kolkatta as well as my own clinic in New Delhi
    3. Running a Telemedicine clinic in New Delhi since 2003
    4. Provide CDT, MLD, MLLB as well as complete services for Lymphoedema care in own clinic including telemedicine based support for others
  4. As President of S.A.T.H.I. have been developing Telemedicine solutions for various needs – have started a project of providing telemedicine based Mental Health support for the Tsunami victims. Please see attached notes in SATHI website
